EarthBucks, KeyPears, and TermSurf are Astrohacker projects now. Their names are Astrohacker EarthBucks, Astrohacker KeyPears, and Astrohacker TermSurf. The company already existed. The fold was already underway. This is the name lock.
In April I introduced Astrohacker as the company roof for everything I build — shells, cash, messaging, and the rest of the portfolio. That post put the projects under one company without renaming them.
In July the company blog said we were folding the portfolio into Astrohacker: one brand, one desktop install, everything else coming in over time. Working names were still drafts. EarthBucks might become “Cash.” KeyPears might become “Keys.” TermSurf was already sliding toward “Terminal.”
A few days later I wrote It’s Astrohacker Now about the product you install: the terminal with real browsers in the panes. That post was right about the company prefix. It was still groping for the second word.
The open question was always the second word. That question is closed. Keep the names.

I am not inventing generic product words to make the portfolio look tidy. Cash is vague. Keys is vague. The real names already carry the meaning — money, secrets and identity, a terminal that surfs. The prefix is the company. The second word is the thing itself.
That is the whole decision. Three projects. One company. The names people already know.
Astrohacker TermSurf is the desktop workbench: a real browser engine in a pane next to your shell. You install it from astrohacker.com. The fight against Cmd-Tab that started when I opened a browser inside the terminal is the same fight. The name on the window matches the company that ships it.
Astrohacker KeyPears is federated identity, secrets, and end-to-end encrypted messaging — email-style addresses, vault, auth, hybrid post-quantum by default. Alpha is live; the crypto story is on this blog already. The product does not need a softer nickname to belong under Astrohacker.
Astrohacker EarthBucks is electronic cash. EBX, mines, settlement — the money layer of the stack. EarthBucks 2.0 is still the engineering phase: Rust mines, peer network, liquidity path. It is not a new coin and not a balance reset. It is the same cash system with a company name in front of it.
Interface, identity, money. Same three pieces. Same names. One roof.
“Merged into Astrohacker” means brand, packaging, and code move into the company house over time. It does not mean every domain flipped overnight. It does not mean old posts get rewritten. It does not mean the work is finished.
Expect lag. earthbucks.com and keypears.com will still say the old standalone brands while cutover happens. Old TermSurf posts still say TermSurf when they mean the product — leave them; they are archive. New writing uses the three names above.
What does not change: the terminal you can install today, the KeyPears protocol and vault model, the EarthBucks chain history. Folding under Astrohacker is a home for the projects, not a disruption theater for users.
The draft sheet on the company blog tried to rename for neatness. Astrohacker Cash. Astrohacker Keys. Clean grid. Weak names.
I rejected that. The app people already open is already Astrohacker TermSurf on disk. The other two get the same rule: company first, real name second. If a name already does the job, prefix it — do not sand it down into a category label.
Keep the names. Put them under the company. Ship.
