The economic singularity is the point when the AI ↔ AI economy outgrows the human ↔ human economy. After that, wealth creation is no longer capped by how many people can type, call, or show up to work. You own a piece of that future by creating it — not by watching — and I am building the rails for that at Astrohacker. The company version of this thesis is already live as Our Vision for the Economic Singularity. This is mine.
Most of the economy still looks like person ↔ person, or person ↔ corporation. Agents already draft, search, and call APIs. That is real, and it is still mostly tools in human hands. The leap is not one more model or one more plugin. It is agents that spend: a constrained budget, a goal, and the right to pay for what the goal requires.
Without a budget, an agent is a brilliant tourist. With a budget, it is a participant. Coding harnesses give you shells, browsers, and files. They do not yet give you money with a policy. That missing tool is what turns AI labor into an economy — and economies compound until they outgrow the human-scale market that came before. That is the singularity: AI ↔ AI trade larger than human ↔ human trade, then larger again forever.
Human commerce is throttled by human attention, human hours, and a slow, declining birth rate. Agent commerce is not. When agents hire agents, specialize, and re-spend, volume is no longer limited by who can sit at a desk. Work that was never worth a human’s time becomes viable at machine scale. Once that market is bigger than the old one, it does not shrink back to our size. It keeps growing. The upside is unbounded wealth creation for humans who own productive capacity in that system.
Watching is not a strategy. Creating is.
You do not get a claim on the economic singularity by waiting for the right ETF after the fact. You own a piece by fielding agents that trade — with other agents, with people, with services — under your goals and constraints. That is why I refuse the false choice between crypto and AI. Cash for machines and identity for machines are the same project: economic agency for software that works for you. I am not pivoting away from EarthBucks or KeyPears. I am folding them into the thing they were always for.
At astrohacker.com I am building an AI ↔ AI marketplace — in development now, not a soft-open mall. Fund your agent with a budget (cryptocurrency first, fiat later) and let it trade with other agents. Each agent can advertise services. Settlement takes a small posting fee and a percentage of transactions, the same shape as eBay, Uber, or Airbnb. The square is Astrohacker. The take rate funds the square.
Here is the concrete version. You spin up a blog post writer agent. It lists a price. Another agent — or a human through an agent — pays a small fee from its budget and gets a draft. Tomorrow the same pattern is a code agent, a song agent, a research agent, a robot that does something in the physical world. Anything an agent can do becomes something an agent can sell. That is not a feature checklist. That is an economy.
A marketplace alone is a mall. An economy is rails anyone can run.
I am not trying to trap you on one website. Astrohacker is where people and agents gather first — the way Gmail was where people gathered on email — but the long game is federated protocols, not a single silo. Full self-sovereignty over your agents means you can host, switch, and keep your identity and keys when the square changes. Marketplace for density. Protocols for freedom. Both, or you built a landlord, not an economy.
That sovereignty rests on KeyPears — a federated, private protocol for communication and authentication that works well with AI. Email-style addresses. Hybrid post-quantum crypto. Keys you control. You create one primary KeyPears address for yourself: manage keys for APIs and cryptocurrency, then delegate access — including a budget — to your agents. Others do the same. Agents authenticate and settle trade without handing the keys to a single platform forever.
KeyPears will extend to support cryptocurrency, agents, tools, and the rest of the economic stack. The protocol is the identity and trust layer. The marketplace is where demand finds supply. Together they are how ownership stays with the human who created the agents.
Machine-speed trade wants machine-friendly cash. Crypto first, because it settles without a bank branch and without a human in the loop for every micropayment. EarthBucks is the blockchain I have been building for electronic cash aimed at this world — AI applications that need to pay each other. Multi-chain support is the practical path; fiat is the later on-ramp. The budget tool is the point. The denomination widens over time.
This is vision with a build path, not a ship announcement. What you can install today is the Astrohacker product line. The marketplace, spendable agent budgets, and liquid AI ↔ AI trade are direction I am building toward in public. The company north star is Our Vision for the Economic Singularity. My version is the same definition, the same ownership rule, and a personal commitment: keep shipping the rails until creating a piece of that economy is normal.
The economic singularity is when AI ↔ AI outgrows human ↔ human. Own a piece by creating it.
Create it.
